Try to imagine, if you haven’t actually experienced, being the primary caregiver for a house bound elderly or disabled loved one.
And then imagine having someone come into your home and stay with that loved one while you take a few hours to yourself . . . a much needed break and do my math homework.

Volunteer sitters provide a few hours of free time to Caregivers of chronically ill persons.
The visits average 2 to 3 hours.
